Celebrating Life at Sundara
At Sundara, we believe that it’s the everyday things that matter. That’s why we make sure to celebrate life every chance we get.
This April, our residents and team members have had a blast celebrating Spring, National Pizza Day, birthdays, and more.
Spring Has Sprung Here in Beautiful Round Rock
The Sundara team and our residents get active at our Springtime celebration!
Cookout Weather, Easter Eggs, and More
As the weather gets nicer, we’re happy to be outdoors with our residents again. We celebrated the arrival of Spring with a cookout and Easter festivities.
Mary Thomas’ 87th Birthday Celebration
We celebrated Mary’s 87th birthday with a cake made by Tye. We enjoyed chocolate cake with cream cheese and whipped cream, made on a base of strawberry wafer, and drizzled with strawberry. YUM!
Celebrating National Pizza Day at Sundara
Our residents enjoyed National Pizza Day with a yummy build-your-own pizza bar.

Our Team Members Love Working at Sundara
A Testimonial from Sundara Team Member Gwendolyn Williams
I love working at Sundara and I love making the residents happy and making them smile. When I walk into Sundara I feel like I am at home. I am a very dedicated employee and will go above and beyond to make sure my residents feel safe and loved. I love my residents and I am most happy when they are happy and cared for.
My name is Gwendolyn Williams, but everyone calls me Gwen. I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I was 17 years old when I started taking care of seniors. My mom was a nurse and she knew a lot of people, so one day a doctor asked if she knew anyone that wanted to do private duty [to care for his mother]. My mom told him, “I have a daughter and she’s always talking about being in the health field and taking care of sick people.”
That’s how I got started in the healthcare field at 17 years old and I did that until the doctor’s mom passed away. After that I started working at a facility and they were starting CNA classes and I signed up for the class. The class started in 2001 and I got certified and then moved to St. Louis, Missouri and started working at a nursing home. I worked there for one year and then I got hired at one of the biggest hospitals in St. Louis. I worked in geriatric psych with adolescence and also in the ECT shock treatment department and psych intake.
Over the next several years I worked in a psychiatric clinic and [in] skilled nursing homes. In 2009 I got a position at Rosewood Nursing Home, where I was lead CNA. I also held positions at several home health agencies and assisted living facilities, including Sundara. I have been here now for over three years. I have my own contract with the state of Texas for aging and disability for special needs and I really do enjoy working with seniors.
In my free time I love to shop and I like quiet moments to reflect. I love people and I love clothes and shoes, and I love being creative with makeup and creating hairstyles.
